Whereas there was no Thalassotherapy center before 1984, such centers have grown up to 41 in 2008. They are offering competitive prices and services of a high level up to the strictest standards of public health and operations.

Tunisia is the second Thalassotherapy destination at a world scale after France . It welcomes every year 150.000 patients, becoming thus a well known world destination for this type of business.

In order to offer a top quality product, renovations and new Thalassotherapy centers projects are under way.

Thermalism

Tunisia to day has spotted more than 90 sites with a thermal potential, of which 4 are spas stations already in operation (Hammam Bourguiba, Jebel Oust, Korbous and Jerba).
Aware of its rich heritage in thermal springs, the country is eager to strengthen this strong point by diversifying its offer. For that purpose, a strategic study regarding spas sector in Tunisia by year 2016 has been implemented with the objectives to :
- develop the spa industry,
- increase investments from 93 millions Tunisian Dinars to 225 millions Tunisian Dinars,
- upgrade existing spa stations and build new ones.
